Hindsight is a wonderful thing – in our heads it lets us go back in time to make adjustments to our lives, to say things differently, to pay more attention to loved ones, to berate those we tolerated for too long, to have a better outcome for ourselves.
Hindsight teaches us new life lessons. And with the benefit of hindsight what I wouldn’t give to be a new Mum again, to have the knowledge we have today and to feed my children the way we at The Baby Pantry prepare meals for babies and children – real nourishing food for precious babies and toddlers.
We source our herbs, veges, meat and ingredients from registered New Zealand organic and spray-free producers. We cook, chill and freeze it down using the latest, state-of-the-art technology and food control processes, in a HACCP certified commercial kitchen.
As a young Mum I chose to feed my babies the freshest food available, usually from our own garden, but alas we were the generation duped by the food industry - we believed the food and food practices of the time were safe – we didn’t realise how many chemicals were sprayed on to our vegetables, how many artificial substances were in our processed food and we had no idea about the excessive amounts of sugar in our bread, cereals, sauces and baby food.
Thankfully we are much better-informed nowadays and I applaud the young Mums of today who read, research, check and double check what they and their babies are eating - they’re helping to make the food industry honest.
I see now, it didn’t matter the house wasn’t always perfect, it didn’t matter the kids didn’t always have the flashiest clothes or toys and it didn’t matter I didn’t make every meal with my own hands.
Parenting is an incredibly tough, time-consuming job, so let us at The Baby Pantry help you with your baby’s meals. Then you can relax, get back some quality time and make new and happy memories with your family – in hindsight, you’ll be pleased you did!
Sometimes we lose sight of ourselves when our wee bundle of joy comes along.
Suddenly, there’s feeding, nappies to be changed, washing to hang out…. and bring in, there are groceries to pick up, meals to be prepared and in between, try to catch up with friends and get some sleep.
